Central Christian Church will present The Indianapolis Quartet (TIQ) in concert on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at 701 N. Delaware in downtown Indianapolis. This concert will serve to benefit the Jewish Community Relations Committee, an organization whose mission is to safeguard Jewish rights in Indianapolis and around the world.
The Indianapolis Quartet serves as resident string quartet at the University of Indianapolis and consists of violinists Zachary DePue and Austin Hartman, violist Michael Strauss, and cellist Austin Huntington. All prominent musicians in central Indiana, they have each established distinguished performing careers on the national level. The quartet will perform Haydn’s Op. 64, No. 5 “The Lark,” and they will be joined by Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra cellist Perry Scott for a performance of Franz Schubert's last chamber work, the emotionally lush and richly melodic String Quintet in C major, D. 956.
Concert admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted. Proceeds from this event support future programs at Central Christian Church as well as the Jewish Community Relations Committee.
