Energetic electric violinist/vocalist Cathy Morris will perform Saturday, April 30th, 3 pm at the Propylaeum Historic Foundation’s 15th Annual Salon Society event.
With an infectious enthusiasm and captivating presentation, Morris is an electric violinist/vocalist with a passion for sharing music with audiences of all ages and everyone can tell!
The Indianapolis Propylaeum is proud to host Cathy Morrris in concert. Previous concerts have found her on festival stages in the US and abroad, world viewed events including the Opening Ceremonies for the World Swimming Championships, Indianapolis International Violin Competition and repeatedly in front of 250,000 people at the Formula One and Indy 500 races. Cathy and her band have opened for Al Jarreau, Burt Bacharach, George Benson, Chuck Mangione, Rick Braun, fourPlay and Najee to name a few and can regularly be seen as the guest soloist performing her original music with orchestras and jazz bands.
As a musical ambassador Morris has performed for world leaders and dignitaries including Mikhail Gorbachev, the Prince and Princess of Serbia, President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton, First Lady Laura Bush and the Japanese Ambassador Kenichiro Sasae among others.
Morris's unique musical talent will fill the 127-year-old Propylaeum mansion as part of the Salon Society’s concert, fun silent auction and delicious dinner for the purpose of raising money for the Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization. Tickets are only $100 for the triple treat.
